WNY R-AHEC provides workforce development for individuals and organizations. R-AHEC offers valuable training using AHEC’s knowledge, experience, and expertise in workforce development. WNY R-AHEC has more than 20 years of experience in workforce development and training facilitation across twenty-three counties in Western/Central NY. In 2006, R-AHEC received a “Center Award for Excellence” from the National AHEC Organization for its health professions and workforce training programs. R-AHEC is a recognized, neutral, regional facilitation resource capable of successful implementation of workforce training and is a conduit for reliable, timely information. Additionally, R-AHEC has been a recipient of eight Health Workforce Retraining Initiative (HWRI) awards from the NY State Department of Health (DOH) beginning in 2001.

(WNY R-AHEC) is recognized by the New York State Education Department’s State Boards for     Social Work (#SW-0685), Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Mental Health Practitioners (#MHC-0268), and Speech Language Pathology as an approved provider of continuing education for licensed social workers, physical therapists and assistants, occupational therapists and assistants, licensed mental health counselors, and speech language pathologists.
